  • What is the dismantling structures conference?
    The Dismantling Structures conference is a chance to hear about new and innovative perspectives in the humanities and arts. It is run by UoW postgraduate students studying M.A. programmes in both English and Cultural Studies. The conference aims to give further insight, offer new perspectives, peel back layers, and facilitate much-needed change in an ever-evolving contemporary context.
  • Where is the conference located?
    The conference is located at the University of Worcester City Campus in the Charles Hastings Building, room CH2006.
  • What are the parking arrangements / how can I get to the conference?
  • Do I need to pay to attend?
    No, the conference is free to attend.
  • How do I register?

  • Do I have to attend for the whole day?
    You do not have to attend for the whole day, but speakers are encouraged to fill in feedback forms at the end of the conference.
  • Are meals included?
    Lunch will be provided at 12:45pm. To make sure that you receive your free lunch, please register for the conference at https://forms.office.com/e/nY67fE0qU6.
  • How do I contact the organisers?

  • What is the schedule for the day?
    The day will begin at 9:00AM and finish at 6:00PM. There will be two Keynote speakers and 5 panels. Please look at the tab entitled 'schedule' for the full thing.
  • How long can I speak for?
    If you are not a keynote speaker, you must speak for 15 minutes at maximum.
  • Can I show a powerpoint?
    We recommend having a visual aid on the day, and a PowerPoint is a perfect fit. We also allow other formats such as Prezi or handouts. Please provide us with your presentation of choice the day before the conference so that we can promptly set it up for you on the day.
